All revved up & nowhere to go......yet! :-)

Jambo! dear readers 😊

I have had my coffee ⚡and am ready n raring to go πŸ‡πŸ‡.

Stone me, its been a sod of a week. Still being busy keeps me out of trouble πŸ˜‡

As you may be aware, those kind people over at Sports Direct allowed me have Norwich's version of supermarket sweep and get some much needed gear for the elective. Chuffin' marvellous it was πŸ˜„

So I  was stunned yesterday in Sports Direct, when I get a personal shopper by way of the assistant manager Paul. I don't think there is one single product there that he doesn't know about! Poor bloke even carried the goods for me. All I had to do was say what I wanted to look at next, and would I like that in any other colour etc. Spoilt I was, I won't lie to you. See the piccies below - that paparazzi admin gets everywhere!! πŸ‘€πŸ‘€

Sports Direct have really been very kind and generous and between them, Clothing for Work and HappyThreads I am now fully sorted for work-wear scrubs & free time clothing and footwear. As the saying goes, winner, winner, πŸ—πŸ— dinner.

So Saturday began with meeting Paul, the assistant manager at the Norwich Chapelfield Sports Direct store.

πŸ’Hmmm...shoes, comfy feet...."yes please" πŸƒ
"Well yes the black would be a sensible colour for the wards I think"
"Ooo insoles you say?"
πŸ’even more comfort?
"deffo yes please on that one"

So there I am trying on different styles of footwear. With Paul diligently fetching me the required size and offering loads of advice πŸ’¬ about how well they breathe or don't breathe.

Paul was able to advise me & help select products
that would help me keep cool & protected in Tanzania.

Paul kindly kept an eye on the running totals for me.

I am not one for taking centre stage in anything but this was a case of needs must.

Come on...someone had to do it...and it was me πŸ‘Ό. Admit it...you're jealous 😎

It was a really brill' day and I had so much help.I am truly sorted now thanks to having the clothing supplied for me.

You will recall I mentioned my admin or rather, paparazzi?

Well, my trusty admin had been in touch with Water-to-Go explaining the situation with water etc. in Tanzania and before I knew it Kyle at Water-to-Go had said they'd like to sponsor me and help ensure the risk from waterborne ucky-pucky's and bugs are totally minimised!!

Check this bit of kit out in this video.
Pretty damn cool if you ask me. →→→→→→

I was stunned (yes, I changed me wording! fed up with gobsmacked and speechless!) when I could see how this could help keep me safe!
Oh, and before you even think it, no I'm not being paid to advertise this or any other product! 😘.

I can't wait to try this out! Not sure I want to try it with mucky water like that what's shown tho'.

Seriously though, the chemistry behind it is beyond me but the idea and practice is that it  removes 99.99% of nasties  & microbiological ucky-pucky's from the water making it safe for me to drink. This means I can drink tap water or river water instead of having to rely on bottled water all the time. This combined with the vaccines I have to have to have prior to going will really give me some serious peace of mind and help keep me safe too.

After seeing in India, the colossal amount of waste from bottles being thrown away this also means I can do my bit to save at least 3 bottles a day (min 63 bottles over elective - see how it mounts up and that is one hell of a lot of plastic that just me alone generates)  being dumped in landfill in Africa πŸ’šπŸ‘ΌπŸŒπŸ’š.

Ah hello...you are still here?
Cool πŸ˜‹just checkin'.
Did you just answer "yes" to that question then?
Lol...okay 😜

Anyways, moving swiftly on...

Now, you and I like a good deal as much as the next person, right?

Well, Kyle knows this too, and he also knows that staff in the NHS work hard and in some very difficult situations. So, by way of passing on his thanks, his respect and appreciation to those in the NHS, he has kindly said that we can share a discount code with you 🎈 πŸŽ‡ πŸŽ† πŸŽ‰ πŸ†

As I say, it's a sign of his and respect for the work nurses do πŸ˜·πŸš‘

If you're NHS then you get 25% off!

If you would like the code then drop me a message with your NHS email address in it and I will send the code back to you.

Seems the best and fairest way of doing it. As if I put the code here then it's possible that every netizen around the globe will use it saying they're NHS when they may not be and, well, that just doesn't seem fair to Kyle and the Water-to-Go kindness.

                                                                                   In other important news......

Claire from Clothing for Work has been in touch and they have supplied me with scrubs. Yay, woohoo.

I tried them on as you do and they're brilliant. A smashing fit, plenty of room for air to circulate too. Life will be comfortable from that aspect.

Happy Threads and Heather have also supplied me some scrubs to go with. These too are very comfortable and will make working in the heat and humidity that much more bearable for me.

I must say that although this blog post seems to be advertising lots of companies, I am sure you will understand that I just need and very much want to be able to say a huge thank you publicly.

I know that I use the word humbled an awful lot but it's true, I am.  I just think it would be rude to not say thank you and pass on my thanks all the companies listed here and on the website, that have sponsored my elective.

I must also say a big thank you to my admin'. Without him, I would not even be blogging to you all or posing on me website!! He is my rock and a bloomin' IT genius.

That's gotta be worth a coffee? ☕right?? 😜 (admin note: she did make the cuppa! )

Anyways, πŸ’€ night night πŸ’€ and pleasant dreams πŸ’€.
